Bio-Sketch
Dr. Carolyn McCreight earned an Ed. D. in Educational Administration from Baylor University, Waco, Texas. She has served as a public school teacher, assistant principal, principal, secondary program director, and superintendent. In 1998, she joined the Department of Professional Programs faculty at Texas A & M International University (TAMIU) where she is a tenured associate professor teaching aspiring principals and superintendents. Dr. McCreight earned the title of Scholar of the Year for the College of Education, TAMIU in 2002. She is editor of the College of Education Journal of Border Educational Issues, has published several articles in various journals, and co-edited and authored chapters in a certification manual for Texas principals. She is editor and co-author of Handbook for Practicum Students and Interns in Educational Administration, a practical guide for practicum students and interns in educational administration with accompanying software.
